Frequently Asked Questions
🤠 Frequently Asked Questions At Peak Dance Nights
The Basics
Do I need a partner to come dancing?
Absolutely not! While many people come in pairs, line dancing is a solo activity performed in a group. For partner dances, there are always plenty of people looking to "social dance" and swap partners throughout the night.
I’ve never danced before. Can I still join?
Yes! We pride ourselves on being beginner-friendly. All nights start with a dedicated beginner lesson where we break down the steps slowly, and we’re the only place that offers teaching the whole night!
How do I know which dance to do when a song starts?
Most songs have a "standard" line dance associated with them. If you’re unsure, just look to the front of the floor—there are usually teachers and "shadows" (experienced dancers) who lead the way.
Dress Code & Footwear
What should I wear?
We encourage "Western Casual." This usually means jeans, flannels, or sundresses. We want you to be comfortable, but feel free to lean into the theme with hats, fringe, and belt buckles!
Do I need cowboy boots?
While they look great and provide the right "slide" for the floor, they aren't required.
What shoes are best for dancing?
Look for shoes with a smooth sole (leather or hard plastic). Avoid heavy rubber-soled sneakers (like running shoes), as they "grip" the floor too much and can cause knee strain during turns.
Note: For safety, we do not allow flip-flops or open-toed shoes on the dance floor.
Dance Floor Etiquette
Where should I stand on the floor?
Anywhere you want!
Can I bring my drink onto the floor?
No. For the safety of our dancers and the preservation of our wood floors, drinks are strictly prohibited on the dance floor. Please leave them at your table or on the drink rails.
What if I mess up a step?
Don't sweat it! Just keep moving or step to the side of the line to find your footing again. The goal is to have fun, not to be perfect.
House Rules & Planning
Is there an age limit?
Peak is 17+
Do you sell tickets at the door?
Yes, though we recommend booking online for special event nights or popular concerts to guarantee entry.
Do you offer private lessons or event bookings?
We do! Whether it’s a bachelorette party, corporate team builder, or a private one-on-one session, we can help. Please visit our Contact Page for pricing.
